Awesome by Pastor Charles Jenkins

No matter what happens, God is still awesome.

Recently, our country the Philippines has been hit by one of the strongest typhoons in recorded history.

Super Typhoon Haiyan (international)/ Yolanda (Philippine codename) made landfall last November 8, Friday Philippine time. In its path were some of the islands in Visayas. As what I’ve heard from the news, the damage the typhoon caused is devastating – loss of so many lives, destruction of houses and buildings, etc.

It is heartbreaking, but there’s always a reason why God allows overwhelming things to take place. God is not punishing anyone. He has a greater plan, though we may not see it. Hold on, everyone. Keep holding on.

My prayers go out to everyone – whether directly hit by the typhoon or worrying about friends and loved ones in the devastated areas.

Help is on the way.

“”The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.” Isaiah 41:17

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
